Why We’re Different

Unlike traditional physical therapy, which is often focused merely on relieving symptoms, our approach goes beyond temporary fixes and passive treatments to correct the cause of your problem. We use advanced, evidence-based evaluation techniques to discover why you developed your bursitis, tendinitis or any other pain to correct that reason and prevent it from coming back - ever.

Precision Physical Therapy & Fitness is the only clinic in the central coast using our unique combination of movement-based evaluation and treatment techniques to reach new levels of improvement. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are able to succeed where other treatments have failed because our advanced training allows us to focus on your body and where it is breaking down in your life. There are no standardized treatments for individualized pain. Because of this, our therapists work with you, one-on-one, to discover the best solution to your problems.

We supplement a precise, corrective exercise program with simple, manual therapy and one-on-one movement training. Manual therapy mobilizes soft tissues and joints to relieve muscle tension and pain. Advanced movement retraining and exercise fix your problem so it does not return. All evaluations are provided, one-on-one, by a doctor of physical therapy.

The evaluation and treatment techniques used at Precision Physical Therapy & Fitness are based on the research and practice of Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD. These techniques, rooted in kinesiology, physiology and research, focus on identifying subtle impairments in your movement patterns causing tissue strain. Once identified, eliminating these impairments can begin using concepts from manual therapy, motor learning, Vladimir Janda, MD, DSc, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Gray Cook, MSPT, OCS, CSCS. This evidence-based, movement-centered approach quickly stops tissue strain to bring about dramatic results.
